Contrary to what players might expect, Rosary farming becomes harder in Act 3 of Hollow Knight: Silksong compared to Act 2. Thanks to the altered distribution of enemies across the map, the best farming spot in Act 2, the enemies directly west of the First Shrine bench, disappear.
Although the best farming spots in Act 3 do not compete with this spot, there are still a few spots that offer quite decent returns for a very small amount of investment. The very best of them is detailed below.
Best Rosary Farming Location in Act 3 of Silksong
The best farming location in Act 3 of Silksong is located in the top left corner of the Choral Chambers, at the bench directly underneath the High Halls entrance.
Three pilgrims patrol the room directly east of this bench, and defeating all of them nets you exactly 67 Rosaries with the Thief’s Mark equipped. Each run takes 20 seconds, which comes out to roughly 200 Rosaries per minute or 12,000 Rosaries per hour.
Act 3 Rosary Farming Strategy
Since these enemies are grouped together, it is extremely easy to take all of them out very quickly, but the most efficient method we’ve found to do so is detailed below.
|
Crest |
Wanderer Crest |
|---|---|
|
Silk Skill |
Silkspear |
|
Blue Tools |
Volt Filament, Weavelight |
|
Yellow Tools |
Silkspeed Anklets, Thief’s Mark, Barbed Bracelet |
|
Red Tools |
Cogfly (Optional) |
|
Vesticrest Tools |
Magnetite Brooch (Optional), Egg of Flealia |
From the bench, dash right to enter the room with the enemies. Get as close to them as possible and fire off a Silkspear, instantly killing the first two and putting the third one at low health. Dash right again for a running attack with Hornet’s Needle, which will put you airborne. Quickly follow up with a downward slash to finish it off. Run back to the bench and repeat.
The testing was done with a fully upgraded Needle; using a lesser variant might have slightly worse results.
If you have the Egg of Flealia equipped, the amount of Silk you recover from two hits from the Wanderer Crest will be equal to the cost of the first Silkspear, essentially forming a virtuous cycle where you replenish resources as fast as you consume them.
The Cogfly Tool isn’t really needed for this run, but in case of a mishap, it is good to have a backup option. Additionally, while the Shaman Crest technically deals more damage from Silk Skills, it has no Yellow slots. Worse, since you can’t one-shot the third enemy even with the Shaman Crest, you will still have to use your Needle, a task the Wanderer is better at.
